Job Summary: The Scrum Master/Team Coach will be responsible for facilitating and coaching agile teams in the adoption and practice of Scrum principles and methodologies.

This role involves guiding teams to deliver high-quality products, improving team efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of agile practices, and a Scrum Master certification.

Secret clearance or higher required.

Responsibilities:

Scrum Facilitation:

Serve as a facilitator for agile teams, guiding them in the effective use of Scrum practices.

Organize and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.

Ensure that the team adheres to Scrum principles and practices, fostering a self-organizing and collaborative team environment.

Team Coaching and Development:

Coach and mentor team members on agile methodologies, helping them understand and adopt agile values and practices.

Work with teams to identify and remove impediments that may hinder their progress.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging regular feedback and adaptation.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate with product owners to ensure a clear and prioritized product backlog.

Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the development team, product owner, and other stakeholders.

Ensure that stakeholders are adequately informed about the team’s progress and any potential risks or issues.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Track and monitor team performance metrics, such as velocity and burn-down charts, to ensure optimal productivity.

Provide regular reports on team performance and progress to the Agile Transformation Lead/IT Manager.

Use data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance team performance.

Agile Transformation and Advocacy:

Advocate for agile principles and practices across the organization, contributing to the overall agile transformation strategy.

Lead agile training sessions and workshops to build agile capabilities within the organization.

Stay current with industry trends and best practices in agile methodologies, sharing insights with the team and broader organization.
