Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced ***Licensed Practical Nurse - Mental Health (Pediatric/Adolescent)

Minimum of one year of experience in a medical environment performing patient care duties.

This is a FULL TIME/TEMPORARY position requiring availability between the hours of 8:30AM-5PM, Monday through Friday, located in Norfolk, VA (23513). 8/1/2023-11/1/2023

Responsibilities :

A Day in the life of a Licensed Practical Nurse :

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (Mental Health Outpatient - Pediatric/Adolescent), you will be responsible for nursing duties to include medication administration, IM injections, evaluation of patients utilizing different scales and tools, obtaining vitals, performing health screenings, cross-coverage for other departments, and other nursing job duties. (full job description will be provided if selected for an interview with the client)

Requirements for the LPN Mental Health :

Required: 1+ years as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a health care setting environment

Required: Valid unrestricted Virginia LPN License or valid multi-state LPN licensure

Required: BLS

Required: Clinical experience working with psychotropic medications and the severely mentally ill, including those with co-occurring substance use disorders and developmental disabilities

Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen

Required: Must be reliable and a quick learner and have ability to multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment

Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required: Possession of a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record as reported by the DMV.

Required: Ability to give injections

Required: Ability to collect blood

Preferred Qualifications for the LPN Mental Health :

Preferred: Mental Health experience with pediatrics and aolescents

Preferred: Psychotropic medication knowledge and experience

Preferred: Mental heath assessment knowledge

$23.18 an hour
