CMA (bilingual preferred) Contract Position
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30a-5:30p & 1 Saturday per month 8a-1p
Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, collecting and documenting patient information, and assisting with examinations and procedures.
- Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating referrals.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Assist with coding and billing processes to ensure accurate documentation and reimbursement.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and concerns, providing education on medical conditions and treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality.
Experience
-Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
- Proficient in performing vital signs measurements, medication administration, and basic life support techniques.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and medical coding practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements:
Nationally Certified Medical Assistant with 2 current years experience.
COVID & Flu vaccinations required
Pediatric experience preferred
Proficient in phlebotomy
Strong clinical experience: take vitals, give injections, and process specimens
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
Titers (MMR, Varicella, Hep B)
Tdap Vaccination current (within the past 10yrs)
Tb Skin Test or Chest X-ray up to date
BLS – American Heart Association
