Associate, Data Engineering (Part-Time)

Akira Technologies, Inc. is looking for several Part-Time Associates in Data Science Engineering to support our Akira Labs.

Ideal candidate must be commit to working at least 10 hours a week (40 hours a month). While this part-time position is mostly remote/work-from-home positions, there will be opportunities for an in-office experiences for those residing in the Washington, DC area.

Job Qualifications:

Experience with Java or Python.

Familiar with software development.

Apply analytics and data science to analyze internal operations.

Identify project requirements by interviewing client-facing staff, analyzing operations, determining project scope, and document results.

Describe requirements in a work-flowchart and diagram, study system capabilities, analyze alternative solutions, and prepare system specifications.

Assist in developing project estimates by identifying phases and elements, personnel requirements, and costs.

Verify results by completing quality assurance tests.

Job Requirements:

Must reside in a qualifying HUBZone (check current address on

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Good internal and external customer service orientation.

Detail and results-oriented, self-starter, with good organizational skills.

Able to multi-task.

Analytical with problem-solving skills.
