Job Description

GTI specializes in the design, engineering, fabrication, and deployment of custom modular structures, shipping container-based structures, and ballistic metal fabrication. We serve multiple industries, including DOD contractors, military, disaster relief, and commercial markets. Our containerized and modular solutions are all built in-house at our factory in Buffalo, NY. Manufacturing capabilities range from military training, live fire enclosures, bathroom/shower units, expeditionary camps, medical facilities, water treatment, electrical/energy storage enclosures, and much more.

The GTI team consists of more than 50 professionals spanning from fabrication and engineering to government and military specialists. Our combination of expertise allows us to provide top quality solutions and customer service for various industries and missions.

The Electrical Engineer will assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems for various company projects. The role will be partner with other engineers and project managers within the Company to complete assigned tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for various projects.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of electrical designs.

Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot electrical issues.

Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and specifications.

Perform signal processing and analysis to optimize system performance.

Utilize CAD software to design and layout electrical components and systems.

Develop and implement FPGA designs for digital signal processing.

Collaborate with software engineers to integrate hardware and software systems.

Participate in system design reviews and provide input on electrical requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.

Experience with CAD software for electrical design, such as SolidWorks or similar programs.

Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques for troubleshooting electrical issues.

Understanding of signal processing techniques and their application in electrical systems.

Knowledge of Industrial Electrical Power Systems.

Ability to design and implement complex electrical systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with battery storage, PV, and renewables is preferred.

Master’s Degree in related field.
