Duration: Please note that this is a contract position and is not intended to be permanent. It is based around the completion of a specific project. There may be opportunities to become permanent but it is not guaranteed.

SUMMARY OF POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITY:

The ERP Project Manager at Allied Stone Inc. will work with management and the IT team to drive the project initiative for our countertop and cabinet enterprise application solution and associated data in support of business goals and processes. Your focus will be to oversee the project planning, project governance and project compliance surrounding the integration of our ERP system within the organization.

As the ERP Project Manager, you are expected to lead all project meetings to ensure the project is moving forward and that all requirements are documented and accounted for within the project plan, this includes milestones, tasks, and change requests.

This role works closely with business unit leaders, subject matter experts, Information Technology, user acceptance testers, and vendor teams through each stage of the implementation and continued improvement. This role requires an experienced project manager/software consultant who can partner effectively with all levels of the organization, lead others, drive results, proactively identify and resolve problems, and make challenging decisions.

Project Planning and Execution:

Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, milestone and resource requirements for ERP Implementation using PMO tools/internal project metrics.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT, finance, operations, sales, field services and other relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Execute project plans effectively, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints and quality standards.

Escalate change management requests/process changes through documented process to change request board.

Stakeholder Management:

Facilitate communication and manage expectations with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Provide regular project updates, status reports, and presentations to executive leadership and project sponsors.

Proactively address concerns, escalate issues as necessary, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders throughout the project.

Risk Management and Issue Resolution:

Identify potential risks and issues associated with the ERP implementation and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.

Proactively monitor project activities, identify deviations from the plan, and take corrective actions as needed to ensure project success.

Facilitate problem-solving sessions and decision-making processes to address project challenges effectively – Escalate to the Manager of Enterprise Applications/Change Review board for final review.

Vendor Management:

Collaborate with external vendors and consultants responsible for proving ERP software, implementation services and technical support.

Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements to ensure deliverables meet project requirements and quality standards.

Coordinate vendor activities, review deliverables, and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the implementation process.

Change Management:

Adhere to the Corporate Change management strategies to facilitate organizational readiness for ERP implementation.

Engage with end-users and key stakeholders to communicate project objectives, solicit feedback, and address concerns related to system changes and process improvements.

Provide training and support to end-users to promote user adoption and maximize the benefits of the ERP system.

Plan and manage, project scope and schedules, project risk assessments, communications

Communicate with business leads & vendor teams to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives of sucessful project implementation

Maintain and report on project budget, monitor expenses including budget allocations and enforce cost controls

Collaborate with the project team representatives to effectively plan and schedule project timeline, deadlines, and budget as it relates to an ERP implementation

Competencies:

ERP knowledge of accounting, procurement, accounts payable, sales, customer relationship management, accounts receivable, inventory, warehouse management, supply chain and system administration modules:

Knowledge and application of Project Management best practices; CAPM or PMP strongly preferred

Implementation and management of ERP, CRM, MRP, SCM, Web Portal, and other business productivity technologies/tools

Excellent written and verbal communication/analytical and problem-solving with issue resolution skills.

Change oriented, with the ability to actively generate process improvements, pivot fluidly with changing business needs, drive change, and confront difficult challenges in creative ways – with a focus change management documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TRAINING):

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field.

Preferred Education:

Master’s Degree

Required Experience:

4-8 years of ERP implementation or functional support in a cross functional generalist capacity

4+ years Project/Program leadership experience in managing the implementation and operation of complex business and technology projects/activities ie. Companywide ERP Implementations

Preferred Experience:

Manufacturing/Furniture industry experience

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Strong understanding of ERP systems, business processes, and project management methodologies.

Creating and maintaining user and technical documentation on processes, policies, application configuration, and user help materials

Test planning, documentation, execution, bug/issue triage/tracking

Providing information and data to management on an ad-hoc basis

Ability to anticipate manager needs and guide users in structuring needed reports

Exhibits coaching, and mentoring skills to provide strategic and analytical guidance to users

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive results in a dynamic environment.

Track-record of effectively competing priorities with minimum guidance

Work Environment:

This position will take place in an office environment

Physical Demands:

This position is not expected to have any physical demands beyond sitting for extended periods of time

Travel Required:

Periodic travel to other offices in Texas and Oklahoma may be required
