Do you have previous experience with basic facility maintenance? HVAC, electrical, plumbing, light construction, preventative maintenance, general upkeep of facilities, equipment and grounds. Seeking 3+ years' experience in a related maintenance type job.

Title: Facilities Specialist

Reports To: Facilities Manager

Target hiring pay range: $19.43 - $24.29 per hour

Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to assist Atlanta Postal Credit Union to live out our Mission, “To help our members achieve financial success by providing exceptional products and service.”

The Facilities Specialist is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and diagnostics of buildings, facilities, equipment, and landscaping. In addition to building maintenance work, this person will sort and deliver office mail.

Completes work orders in a timely manner with efforts focused on closing orders on or before their due date.

Works with the Branch Managers and other internal stakeholders to closely monitor/repair the building structures, roofs, and landscaping.

In collaboration with the facilities manager, participates in the development and execution of preventive maintenance program.

Monitor/Repair mechanical equipment to help prevent long term costly maintenance.

Reports security concerns to Facilities Manager whenever such are discovered.

Troubleshoots various issues and reports mechanical malfunctions to other parties for the required resolutions.

Addresses small maintenance concerns including office equipment and furniture.

Assist in the moving, transportation, set up and assembly of furniture and equipment.

Follows both written and oral instructions to remedy problems, take responsibility for completing a given task or repair, or to analyze and make a recommendation for solving a repair or maintenance problem.

Exhibits effective and courteous oral and written communication skills.

Maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders.

Uses a variety of power tools and hand tools to complete daily tasks.

Valid driver’s license required; Driver’s License record check may be periodically required.

Ability to travel overnight approximately 10% of time.

Ability to work overtime and flexible work schedules as required to perform the duties of the role.

Complies with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations as they relate to this position

Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports. If serving in a designated lead role, may manage day-to-day task through indirect reporting relationships or through a matrixed management approach and the ability to collaboratively interact with internal and external partners.

REQUIRED Education and/or Experience:

Requires level of knowledge gained high school diploma or equivalent

3 years relative work experience in facilities maintenance or construction

PREFFERED Education and/or Experience:

5 years relative work experience in facilities maintenance or construction

License or certification in a specialty field such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.

Prior experience developing and managing a preventive maintenance program

Physical Job Requirements

Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines, such as calculator, computer, printer, facsimile, telephone, copier, etc. Must have the ability to operate a variety of power tools, hand tools, and machinery. Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop as needed. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of 50 to 75 pounds or more.
