A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Quality Engineer like you, to oversee and bring expertise to our team.

Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. Key Accountabilities:

General

Lead on quality topics for project system business for APAC projects until the project hands over to the customer.

Face to customer on quality topics. Lead to closure with high customer satisfaction.

Conduct and lead product quality analysis (DFMEA, PFMEA, DPU).

Enhance pre-sales support by thoroughly reviewing and providing feedback on customer requirements,

particularly regarding quality specifications.

Project Execution Matters

Accountable to the project manager and is responsible for all quality topics from the project.

Lead product safety assessment to ensure the product meets company established safety standards.

Perform quality check on 3rd party receivables in accordance with company established quality standards.

Perform quality check on finished products prior factory witness test and final goods delivery in accordance with

company established quality standards.

Familiarize with customer quality process and ensure to implement it to the projects.

Inspect the product and ensure the product conforms to the quality standard from the customer specifications.

Keep proper records of all assessment related to quality and product safety.

Lead RCA with the supporting functions and ensure RCA meets the customer expectations.

Always keeping the customers informed of the progress of all ongoing quality topics.

Prepare and present insights and lessons learned regarding quality and product safety matters to internal

stakeholders and customers.

Working with internal stakeholders and suppliers

To work with the execution engineering team to resolve quality issues arising from the project.

Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to make good the deliverables if the goods fall short of the requirements.

Liaise with the enclosure packager to make good the quality issues before product delivery to the site.

To work with the regional quality persons to keep oneself up to date on quality issue within the organization to

mitigate future project risk.

Participate in supplier audit and provide inputs from the quality perspective.

Collaborate with suppliers/contractors to align with company quality requirements

Other Matters

Travels overseas on business, when required.

Updates oneself with quality management best practices.

Special assignment from time to time.

Qualifications and Skills:

University studies in Mechanical or Power Engineering fields or equivalent.

Experience in quality assurance of engineered solution business, min. 3 years.

Experience in the diesel engine/generator industry or backup power in data center would be an added advantage.

Good team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Understand Asian cultural differences and business practices and can resolve conflicts effectively.

Able to manage high stress situations. Be accountable for the project quality topics.

Able to multi-task and manage topics simultaneously. An extremely resourceful person.

Always up to date with the progress of the project.

Willingness to travel.

Proficient in English language.
