TRUCK COMPONENTS TECHNICIAN / UPFITTER / ASSEMBLER

ASSEMBLE MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL/HYDRAULIC/PNUEMATIC

COMPONENTS

Job Summary: An assembler mechanic performs various tasks necessary to complete

assembly and upfit of truck tank bodies and their component systems including wire

harnesses, lighting, PTO drive systems, hydraulic systems and components, bolt on

components and successfully test installed systems.

Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the layout, assembly and completion of

various component parts and systems to the tank body and truck chassis, as well as

material handling, grinding, drilling, electrical, plumbing fit. Relevant skills and

knowledge consist of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulics. Work duties are

directed by general verbal, written instructions and drawing prints. Work duties are

under the direction and supervision of the department supervisor/team leader.

Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 50# on occasion. Frequently lift up to 10# parts.

Other Requirements: Problem solving, ability to communicate with appropriate

individuals to correct. Good team relation and communication skills are essential.

Experience: High school graduate desired. Relevant work experience in manufacturing

or similar work environment required. Assembly and fit up experience.
