POSITION SUMMARY The ADRC Program Cookassiststhe ADRC Kitchen Manager with daily food preparation and packaging for the Senior Dining program.This positionassistswith kitchen sanitation and adhering to food safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS * Exercises knowledge of and compliance with food sanitation and kitchen safety practices; prepares and serves food toa high-risk population;maintainsorderly, clean, and sanitized kitchen work areas;performs routine cleaning and sanitization tasks in all areas of the kitchen, including equipment and dishes.
* Uses ability to follow oral and written directions toassistwith food production as directed by theADRCKitchen Manager.
* Employs basic math skills necessary to count out food portions; packagesfood for meal delivery routes for Meals on Wheels;packagescold, bulk foods for delivery.
* Assistswith unloading delivery trucks andstocking supplies,following proper stock rotation principles.
* Performs other related duties asrequiredor assigned.
TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL EXEPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS * Highschool diplomaor equivalent.
* One(1)year of experience working in a kitchen setting.
* Appointment will be conditional upon successful completion of criminal andcaregiver background check.
* ServSafecertificationor ability to obtain certificationwithinthree (3)months of hire andmaintainthereafterduring employment.
* Position will require a pre-employment physical exam.
* Must have valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and access to private transportation for work-related duties.
* Mustpossessand maintain personal automobile insurancein the amount of$100,000/$300,000.
