Blevins Solar Mechanic I

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Responsible for performing all functions needed for an onsite mechanic.

Responsible for the onsite maintenance of all heavy equipment and general equipment.

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) Maintain shop equipment in a clean and orderly condition and report all deficiencies to supervisor Perform inspections to ensure tested and repaired equipment meet performance specifications Troubleshoot breakdowns of equipment to determine extent of damage or malfunctions Follow given operating instructions to maintain shop equipment operations Maintain supplies Call for repairs Perform regular preventive maintenance Complete and file all appropriate reports and paperwork Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels All other duties as assigned Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Strong teamwork orientation Detail orientation Strong organizational skills Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum one year of experience as a Mechanic (preferred) Beginner level experience with computers (preferred) Current driver's license ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS A.

Ability to frequently work in heat and other weather conditions B.

Frequently crouch, kneel, squat, climb C.

Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs D.

Frequently reach high and low places E.

Ability to see, hear, balance, and review job sites F.

Ability to stand and walk throughout work day G.
