Network Operations Center Engineer

Roles & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position requires the incumbent to demonstrate expertise using network monitoring tools to monitor public and private cloud application. Network and system troubleshooting is required. The Network Operation Center (NOC) staff is willing to work in shifts.

Below job functions required to be done on daily basis:

• Responsible for proactively monitoring the health of different cloud application/services using different monitoring tools like New Relic/Dynatrace/DPA Solarwinds/Azure Reporting services/Mirth etc

• Monitoring HL7 Interfaces, Faxages services, Integration services

• Create alerts in the monitoring tools

• Network & server monitoring

• Azure Servers/VM ware servers/Azure DataFactory

• SQL Database server

• Create and maintain SOP by closely working with the stakeholders

• Monitoring and troubleshooting network, system, and security events

• Responsible for engaging with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th tier resources for technical issue resolution

• Responsible for sending e-mail and text pages to personnel with outage information and updates

• Responsible for running outage teleconference bridges effectively and professionally

• Responsible for completing daily / nightly NOC check lists and turn over documents

• Responsible for taking customer calls and working with them to understand technical related issues

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

• Understanding of web based technologies, software, and database services

• Good knowledge and experience with the Internet Protocol (IP) suite is essential

• A first-hand working knowledge of application monitoring tools like New Relic/Dynatrace/DPA solarwinds/Azure etc

• Desired: general knowledge of trouble-ticketing database systems for Incident, Service, and Change Management requests

• General understanding of networking technologies

• Knowledge of Cloud technologies (virtual machines, networks, etc.)

• Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to effectively document issues from inception to conclusion

• Excellent customer care skills including experience taking customer related technical calls

• Previous networking experience in NOC / NCC environment

• Experience in server monitoring and incident management

• Experience working with Iaas &Paas cloud platform.

• Experience in monitoring cloud servers, applications through New Relic/Dynatrace/DPA Solarwinds/Azure

• Experience in windows administration, Linux administration and DB administration

• Experience in scripting is preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

• Technical Networking certifications are a definite advantage.

• Good communication.
