We are currently on the lookout for a Permanent Bilingual Litigation Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated professional to play a pivotal role in our legal proceedings. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned legal assistant with extensive litigation experience and fluency in two languages.

Responsibilities:

As a Bilingual Litigation Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

1. Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and closings.

2. Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, responses, and motions.

3. Conducting legal research and preparing reports on findings.

4. Maintaining organized case files and tracking deadlines.

5. Utilizing bilingual skills to translate legal documents and communicate with clients and witnesses of diverse linguistic backgrounds.

6. Coordinating meetings, depositions, and court dates.

7. Filing court documents electronically or in person as required.

8. Assisting in the discovery process and organizing evidence.

9. Performing administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing attorney calendars.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant.

2. Fluency in English and another language.

3. Proficiency in MS Office and legal research software.

4. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

7. Familiarity with legal procedures and protocols.

8. Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

9. A paralegal certification or a degree in law, or a related field, is preferred.
