We are looking for our next Human Resources superstar!
The HR Administrator is a champion of Derby City Gaming's culture and values, and partners with our team to revolutionize human resources the same way Derby City Gaming revolutionizes Kentuckiana entertainment. You'll provide administrative support in a broad spectrum of Human Resources disciplines including training & development, employee relations, benefits and payroll administration, recruitment, and uniform management, so get ready to learn (and do) a lot.
The ideal candidate is a bit more senior than entry-level and has spent a year or two working in an HR department. You should be able to exercise sound judgment, be well organized, and be willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
The HR Coordinator regularly performs the following tasks:
Provides excellent customer service by responding to requests for information through understanding of policies and practices within prescribed HR functions (i.e. recruiting, benefits, etc.)
Assists with the coordination and execution of special events
Responsible for Team Member Birthday/Anniversary recognition
Print and administer Team Member badges
Assist HR Business Partners with coordinating roundtable meetings and other meetings as needed
Ordering and inventory of office supplies
Coordinate Team Member uniform distribution, inventory, ordering, and room organization
Posting of Team Member communications
Provide administrative/clerical support (filing, scheduling, scanning, etc.) for the HR department
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and new hire orientation
Assist with benefits enrollment as needed
Participate in HR staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars as needed
Maintain HRIS records and compile reports from the database
Participate in developing department goals and objectives
What it Takes:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field
At least 1 year as an HR Admin (or similar) in a fast-paced setting
Working knowledge of basic human resources principles and practices preferred
Excellent writing and analytical skills, graphic design, and social media savvy a plus
Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Publisher)
Collaborative work style and comfortable in a busy, deadline-driven environment
Must be able to pass background screening
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
