Atlantic General Hospital, a hospital on their journey to Pathway to Excellence, is currently hiring a Full-time Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical/Telemetry unit with the goal of transitioning to our Intensive Care Unit. Gaining vital, foundational knowledge on MedSurg is a crucial step in preparation for caring for the critically ill.
The Bridge program to ICU is designed to equip you with the skills that you need to become a successful and confident ICU nurse. You will spend your first year on our MedSurg floor and will be paired up with an ICU mentor upon hire. This mentorship will ensure you are building the skills and characteristics necessary to become an ICU nurse. You will complete a one-year Vizient Nurse Residency Program, a 6-week MedSurg Boot Camp, and 6 months of the ICU Gateway Residency Program. In this time, it is our goal to help new graduate and experienced nurses gain the knowledge and skill set required in caring for the diverse and high-acuity patient population of Atlantic General. After the 1-year Nurse Residency Program is completed, a transfer date will be determined.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have an active RN licensure and Healthcare Provider CPR certification. A Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) degree is required or must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
