Standup Forklift Driver - Day Shift

Job Description

Receivers are responsible for all functions and paperwork related to receiving. They will operate machinery including baler, compactor, and forklift in a safe and proper manner.

Primary Responsibilities

Safely utilize forklifts and power jacks to move warehouse materials according to proper safety instructions and as directed

Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility

Stack goods in the correct storage bays

Check loads are secure

Stack empty pallets

Count, weigh or measure items of incoming shipments in order to verify information against invoices, orders, bills of lading or other records

Assemble cardboard or wooden containers or select pre-assembled containers

Examine and unpack incoming shipments; record shortages and reject damaged items

Operate lift truck or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage area

Check in inbound inventory and administer the processing

Trace and track shipments to ensure timely delivery

Sort, count, identify, verify and track all material by utilizing the varies systems to maintain accurate inventory records

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Good math, language and reading skills

Forklift certification per OSHA standards is required

3-5 years' experience working in a warehouse environment

Previous experience with material handling automation in a warehouse environment is a plus

Flexibility to work shifts as assigned including nights and weekends

Ability to work overtime as needed
