Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting

Job Description

The Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for compliance with all U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) requirements as well as ensuring timely and accurate financing reporting. The role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the company’s financial statements.

Position is hybrid in office 2 days per week. Only candidates in the Tampa Bay area will be considered.

Position Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all U.S. GAAP and disclosure requirements for financial reporting.

Research and analyze technical accounting issues (i.e., business combinations, leases, revenue recognition, etc.) and prepare accounting memos as needed.

Stay current with new accounting pronouncements and assess their impact on the Company.

Assist the broader accounting team with the monthly financial reporting package.

Coordinate the external audit and provide support when requested.

Identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations to management.

Perform ad hoc and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting

CPA certification required

5+ years of accounting experience; public audit experience preferred

Proficient in MS Office products, particularly Excel and Word.

Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills

Able to adapt to change and motivated to learn new concepts

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work flexible hours when necessary
