Job Description: IT EDI Specialist

As an EDI Specialist, your main tasks will involve overseeing and improving Forrest's capacity to efficiently communicate status updates with clients automatically. Furthermore, you'll play a key role in broadening the platform by bringing aboard new clients. This position demands someone adept at handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a keen eye for detail. Effective communication skills are crucial, as you'll need to explain intricate ideas in a straightforward manner and assist both internal and external users promptly. Tasks & Responsibilities

Learn complex systems and summarize for users

Analyze information to determine root cause

Document errors and analyze trends in errors

Relay technical needs to external partners and customers

Help operations research issues and develop solutions

Understand how KPIs are designed and updated with data

Craft long-term solutions to repeating problems and create a project plan for developers

Test implementation of bug fixes and enhancements to workflow

Create and utilize measures to monitor system and proactively identify errors or system failures

Essential Skills, Characteristics & Experience

Sustain great attention to detail over long periods of time

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Make decisions and recommendations based on research

Ability to work in fast paced environment

Find sustainable ways to accomplish goals working with strong personalities, and partners who are unable or reluctant to change processes

Intermediate knowledge of Excel

General understanding of API, SFTP, and Python

Knowledge of transportation EDI transaction set a plus

Knowledge of Tableau a plus
