EBC is currently seeking a proactive, results-driven, and organized professional to join their Treasury Team as the Regulatory Reporting Senior Analyst.

This is a temporary contract opportunity ranging from 12-18 months.

Role Description: The Regulatory Reporting Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to all capital and liquidity requirements outlined by the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) guidelines for category two SMSBs. This position requires expertise in OSFI regulatory guidelines, with a focus on accurate modelling and reporting of Liquidity Adequacy Requirements (LAR), Capital Adequacy Requirements (CAR), Leverage Ratio Requirement (LRR), and all financial regulatory reporting guidelines required of the Bank., including periodic reporting through OSFI’s RRS portal and the quarterly Pillar 3 Disclosures Additionally, the incumbent will oversee internal financial reporting of regulatory ratios and lead the planning, management, and execution of the Bank's Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP).

Essential Functions:

Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for Basel Regulatory Requirements:

Stay current with updates and amendments to regulatory reporting requirements issued by OSFI, relevant to EBC’s status as a category 2 SMSB..

Interpret and communicate regulatory changes effectively to Finance team members and relevant stakeholders.

Provide guidance and training on OSFI regulatory compliance matters within the Finance department.

Modelling and Reporting of Regulatory Ratios:

Develop and maintain sophisticated models to accurately calculate Liquidity Adequacy Requirements (LAR), Capital Adequacy Requirements (CAR), and Leverage Ratio Requirements, in accordance with OSFI guidelines.

Ensure precise and timely reporting of regulatory ratios and metrics such as Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Streamlined Net Cumulative Cash Flow (NCCF), Tier 1 Capital Ratio, Total Capital Ratio, and the Leverage Ratio, according to the latest OSFI guidelines. .

Submit all regulatory filings required for the Bank, a category 2 SMSB, through OSFI’s RRS portal.

Conduct regular reviews of modelling methodologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Internal Financial Reporting:

Oversee the preparation and dissemination of internal financial reports related to regulatory ratios and compliance metrics.

Collaborate closely with Finance and Risk Management teams to reconcile regulatory reporting data with financial statements.

Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on internal financial reporting findings.

ICAAP Planning and Execution:

Manage the planning, management, and compilation of the Bank's Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP).

Coordinate cross-functional teams to collect data, conduct risk assessments, and perform stress testing exercises as part of the ICAAP.

Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for regulatory submissions and senior management review.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, FRM) preferred.

Extensive experience in regulatory compliance within the financial services industry.

In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and OSFI guidelines, particularly related to liquidity risk management and capital adequacy requirements for category 2 SMSBs.

Proficiency in financial modelling and reporting tools, with strong analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory concepts clearly and concisely.

Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.

Proven ability to plan and execute complex projects, with strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
