The Ideal Candidate

Ethnicity Matters is seeking an experienced Senior Producer to join our team. Reporting to the Sr Director, Creative Operations, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with top-tier clients and talented Creative, Strategy and Account Teams to bring creative visions to life. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about creative storytelling and is innovative and resourceful at finding ways to make things work while maximizing available resources. This is a new role in the agency that comes with plenty of growth potential for the right candidate.

What You Will Do

Work with Creative and Account Teams to provide guidance and input from initial concept development to ensure feasibility within project parameters (budget, timing, etc.) and objectives

Develop and manage production schedules and booking Creative resources to deliver against production work plans

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously, balancing production timelines, budgets, and resources effectively

Understand client objectives, and work with Account teams to ensure client needs are met throughout the production process

Cultivate and manage relationships with external vendors including production companies, directors, photographers, and post-production houses, negotiating contracts and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.

Develop and oversee production budgets, and track expenses

Maintain a keen eye for detail, ensuring all deliverables meet the campaign’s creative vision, brand guidelines, and industry best practices.

Identify potential risks and proactively implement solutions to mitigate them, ensuring smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.

Work with Creative Operations to establish agency production processes and ways of working

What You Need to Succeed

A strong portfolio showcasing a range of work across all channels, mediums and budgets, with a track record of successfully managing large-scale campaigns

8+ years in a Producer role, preferably in an agency setting. (Some ad agency experience is a must.)

Flexibility and resourcefulness; ability to develop creative solutions that align with a wide range of budgets.

Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

An ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience with talent contracts: Non-union, ACTRA and UDA

Knowledge of appropriate rights for usage of photography, audio, and other elements of production, ensuring compliance

The ability to work independently, with limited direction

Clear communication and interpersonal skills; ability to provide transparent communication through the production process

A passion for creative storytelling and innovation with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

A positive attitude, emotional intelligence, and a "can do" approach.

Nice, but not mandatory:

College or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Film Production, Project Management, or a similar field.

Familiarity with one or more of Canada's immigrant languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, Punjabi, Tamil, Hindi, Urdu, Tagalog, Arabic, etc.
