The Opportunity:

Our client is a renowned international manufacturer of process and laboratory analytical instruments. We are supporting them in their search for a Field Service Specialist to manage installs and customer application set ups on new instruments, as well as over time supporting other team members with repairs and other call outs.

In this role you will apply your instrumentation / chemistry knowledge and technical experience to solve customer’s instrumentation issues and ensure optimal system performance. On-site tasks may include installs, application set ups on customer products, training and more.

They are a well respected brand with a strong people focused approach and high staff retention.

You will get to travel to a diverse group of labs, meet different people and see various instrument applications at work. You will have the resources to support the client face to face, via phone, email and video. The ability to juggle/prioritize a busy schedule are essential as well as maintaining positive customer relations and collaborating with local Sales colleagues and customer support. Field travel will be required throughout Ontario and Quebec, with the ideal candidate located in an urban center in either province.

What You'll Be Doing:

Working with a wide range of cutting edge analytical instruments.

Owning the service territory and priorities within it.

Scheduling installation visits.

Parts inventory management.

Prep calls with clients pre visit.

Reviewing quotes for service.

Installs of new products.

Application of customer methods to our clients instruments.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or equivalent scientific discipline.

Ideally experience with our clients or competitors instruments.

Ideally previous field service experience.

Ability to establish and maintain effective and constructive working relationships with others.

Have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

French speaking highly desirable.
