Work location and type:

The position will be based at our new West Atlanta, GA location.

This position is a 100% in person.

The ideal candidate will be professional, self-motivated, and slightly anal retentive. The candidate should be comfortable working with teams at all levels from office staff to shop employees.

Education and Work Experience:

OSHA 501 – Strongly Preferred

Proficient in OSHA 1910, ASTM, ANSI Requirements

High school diploma/GED equivalency

Five (5) + years’ safety experience in General Industry

OSHA 30 Hour – General Industry

Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as determined by the hiring manager

Job Description:

The EHS Manager is entrusted with overseeing the comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) operations within our Modular Fabrication Facility, ensuring compliance with general industry regulations and standards. This role encompasses industrial hygiene responsibilities and actively supports safety initiatives, project management, and field operations to eliminate workplace injuries, illnesses, and liability claims. Key duties involve conducting daily safety inspections, fostering collaboration with fellow EHS professionals, and delivering guidance and coaching to employees and foremen to uphold safety regulations and company policies. The EHS Manager will spearhead safety and health training sessions as necessary to foster a culture of safety excellence throughout the facility.

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities:

Conducts comprehensive facility inspections to ensure adherence to General Industry regulations, emphasizing safe working conditions.

Provides employee training on various topics including Machine Guarding, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, MEWP, and First-Aid/CPR Certification.

Develops and maintains facility procedures pertaining to machinery and equipment operations.

Facilitates weekly all-hands safety meetings.

Administers initial and annual Certificate of Hazard Assessment for all stationary equipment.

Participates in Root Cause Analysis for incidents and near misses, guiding the implementation of corrective action plans.

Has the authority to halt activities posing threats to workers’ health and safety.

Supports facility personnel with safety objectives and initiatives.

Communicates safety regulations and compliance requirements to field supervision and suggests measures to mitigate hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.

Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Worker Qualifications:

Excellent written and verbal skills. confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities to ensure a wide range of subjects are clearly communicated to all levels of workforce, management and client representatives.

All safety staff are required to meet the physical requirements of this job description and must be willing to submit to a pre-employment physical exam.

Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders and agency rules. Continuing Education in Title 29 and 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Is open to change and can adjust to shifting priorities. Helps others handle organizational and procedural change.

Willing to work flexible hours and/or shifts.
