Role Description

This is a full-time off-site role as a Catering & Operations Manager, located in Alexandria, Virginia. As a Catering Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing operations and staff, managing budgets and finances, maintaining inventory and supplies, booking events, ensuring excellent customer service, and cultivating relationships with clients and vendors. The role does require weekend work as primarily weddings take place from March - November. In addition, we host tastings on Sundays well. Some flexibility is available.

Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in catering or event management, preferably in a leadership role

Demonstrated knowledge of sales, marketing, and business management principles

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Experience managing budgets and financial reporting

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Communications, Business or related field is preferred but not required...if you have the background knowledge and experience we want you on the team!
