Auto Body Painter

Our shop is looking for an automotive painter with a minimum of 5 years of professional production automotive painting experience. Not a prepper, not an apprentice. As an experienced “head’ or “lead” painter, you will be expected to be skilled in painting base/clears, single stage, metallic, 3-stage, blending adjacent panels. You must be able to recognize correct or incorrect color matches, and be able to choose the correct alternate or “spray-outs”, or to be able to tint when required. You and your prepper will be responsible for the entire paint process: featheredge, priming, block sanding, final de-nib and/or color-sanding as required. As an experienced painter we expect you to be able to produce consistent results, with consistent texture, and a minimum of “re-dos” It is an absolute prerequisite that you take pride in your work, as does our entire team.

This position is compensated based on commission and you will have unlimited earning potential. The position pays 50% per flag hour. Based on your motivation, you can expect to earn 70-125K annually including compensation of an assistant prepper. Again, this is not an entry-level position, and we are unable to train at this time.
