We are looking for a passionate licensed Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary New York City team and contribute to our goal of making a difference.

What You Will Do:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' functional abilities, strengths, and challenges related to daily living skills, self-care, productivity, and leisure activities.

Facilitates one-on-one and group sessions to support clients in developing and enhancing executive functioning skills, including organization, time management, planning, and problem-solving.

Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observations to formulate individualized treatment plans.

Develop client-centered treatment goals and interventions aimed at enhancing independence, promoting self-esteem, and improving overall quality of life.

Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, including but not limited to activity analysis, adaptive equipment training, sensory modulation, and cognitive-behavioral strategies.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic and coordinated care delivery.

Lead therapeutic groups focusing on various skill-building areas, such as stress management, social skills, coping strategies, and vocational exploration.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Manages development, with a focus on programming and treatment for neurodivergent and autistic clients.

Provides ongoing training opportunities for the clinical team centered around applications of OT for clients.

Helps support program development at an individual and group level.

What You Need to Qualify:

Master's degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.

Certification in mental health occupational therapy (e.g., Mental Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) is a plus.

Familiarity with using ASR based approaches.

Experience with ASD & neurodivergent populations.

Experience working in mental health settings, preferably in an intensive outpatient program or similar environment.

Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and intervention skills.
