CEI is looking for a qualified DAS Field Engineer to support their IBS (in building solutions) team. This Field Engineer will be responsible for hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance and commissioning of DAS systems across the BAWA market. CEI has an installation team that will perform the majority of initial mounting, and labor of getting the devices installed on-site. The Field Engineer would then come behind to help get the system up on air. CEI is considered a "one-stop-shop" so this individual would also need to know how to terminate, rack/stack, add connectors, know AHJ's, mount systems, etc if need be. While their main responsibilities would be to get these systems up on air, they would be required to also help pull cable when needed, and assist installers if it is a larger job. If the candidates has a background supporting RF frequencies for Public Safety and Cellular networks that would be extremely beneficial. They need to have experience with Bi-directional amplifiers, Coax, receivers, and various frequencies not limited to 700 MGHZ, 800MGHZ, VHF, UHF, etc.

The OEM's that they work with are CommScope, Mobile Access, JMA, Corning, etc. Any certifications is a plus.

This individual will be client facing and needs to have excellent customer relationships.

This opportunity will have the a take home vehicle as well since it is a direct hire opportunity.

Their is an on-call schedule for the IBS team for one week per month and rotates regularly. For certain customers their is a SLA window where they need to be on-site in a given time frame.

The opportunity for growth at CEI is at all time high. They support large commercial and private customers from Johns Hopkins, McCormic, Amazon, Whiting Turner, Aecom, Concor etc.

CEI specializes in 3 major telecommunications categories- LMR (Land Mobile Radio, IBS (in building systems, IDAS), and ITS (Intelligent transportation systems

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate appropriately and professionally with Customers as well as internal personnel

• Maintain a high standard of customer relationships

• Install, maintain and repair DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) for Cellular and Public Safety communications including their associated RF sources (BDAs, BTS, Small cells, etc.)

• Commission, test and troubleshoot DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) for Cellular and Public Safety communications (BDAs, BTS, Small cells, etc.)

• Provide support for installation teams as needed.

• Perform site walks of job sites to collect information required for potential solutions and estimation purposes

• Participate in on-call customer maintenance contract program

• Participate in after-hours service and installation work as needed

• Complete routine work tickets and warranty paperwork in a timely fashion

• Participate in all training with required travel

• Write technical reports related to testing and troubleshooting

• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

• All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

• High School Diploma plus or graduation from a certified vocational school with emphasis

in the field of electronic systems.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the installation, testing and troubleshooting of DAS products and systems required

• Experience with MobileAccess, Commscope, JMA or other DAS products

• Experience with RF sources such as BDAs, RRHs, DRFMs, etc.

• Experience with Coaxial cable installation, termination and testing

• Ability to work independently with little supervision

• Experience in working with teams on completing projects on time/scope/budget.

• Diligent attention to safety required

• Must hold a valid driver’s license and meet the clear/acceptable standards of CE’s

company fleet policy.
