The Swift Group is looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our technology-based program supporting a key customer. This person will provide subject expertise and guidance to IT developers during the software development life cycle. Overseeing the development, testing, and implementation of technical solutions. Determining whether technical solutions meet defined requirements. The SME may also provide Agile DevOps support to mission critical systems. They may have the opportunity to build strong systems, software, and cloud environments and provide operations and maintenance for critical systems. The candidate will provide technical expertise and support in the design, development, implementation and testing of customer tools and applications. Based in a DevOps framework, participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and unit testing. The SME may develop, in conjunction with functional users, system alternative solutions using Agile methodologies for ServiceNow support.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and enhance capabilities of the core ServiceNow platform to meet tenant requirements.

Develop, test, and deploy updates and customizations to ServiceNow applications based on customer needs.

Configure ServiceNow applications and workflows, and facilitate the rollout of new applications and modules.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions, handle configuration changes, and address system deficiencies.

Drive continuous improvement of processes, standards, policies, and tools related to ServiceNow development and operations.

Ensure consistency of tool configuration across development, testing, integration, and production environments.

Participate in ongoing production support and end-user assistance, documenting system corrections and maintenance activities.

Research and incorporate new technologies and standards into ServiceNow development as required.

Contribute to enterprise-wide systems and applications software design and development.

Required Qualifications:

16+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Expertise in Incident Management, incident response strategy, and stakeholder communication.

Proficiency in Service Level Objectives (SLO) definition and improvement for IT systems.

Strong understanding of CI/CD implementation and automation.

Extensive experience with ServiceNow Development Platform, including ITSM, ITOM, HR Module, CSM, Asset Management, Change Management, etc.

Proven success developing ServiceNow applications using JavaScript and other coding languages.

Experience with Database Administration (Oracle or MySQL).

Ability to estimate work effort accurately and communicate effectively.

Strong multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Aptitude and willingness to adapt to emerging technologies and tools.

Initiative, creativity, and technical proficiency to deliver enhanced functionality and support within defined timelines.

US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Desired Qualifications:

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.

IT project management experience and familiarity with Agile, Lean, and DevOps methodologies.

Experience with Java, Ruby, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices.

Knowledge of IT Operations Management (ITOM) software.

Understanding of Quality Assurance and Test Automation for software.

Proficiency in Linux/Unix concepts and networking fundamentals.
