We are hiring at ICL Systems and Rubicon VLS for an experienced Finished Vehicle Operations Manager to join our growing team in the US!

Rubicon VLS is among the largest providers of end-to-end automotive logistics in North America. Using industry-leading web-based logistics tools from partner company ICL, Rubicon manages the transportation of finished vehicles on rail, truck, and vessel. Rubicon has operations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The Finished Vehicle Operations Manager will be responsible for the movement of finished vehicles through the Stellantis Finished Vehicle Network. This position works closely with the transportation service providers to expedite the movement of finished vehicles within the Stellantis network in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Operations Manager will also be the key initiator of continuous improvement, working with Stellantis and service provider counterparts within the Rubicon process to identify systemic problems and explore potential resolution. The Operations Manager may identify data quality problems through their daily work, which they should identify and bring to the attention of the Rubicon Network Management team for follow-up/resolution.

The successful candidate will live anywhere on the East Coast, North East of the US or Michigan state, working in a remote work model with ad-hoc travel required to visit customer sites across the US!

What your day will look like:

Geographic scope includes vehicles in/out of the following facilities and any upfit, repair or storage yards that are opened to support shipping in/out of the following facilities: Eastern U.S. Destination Ramps

Advise providers of the production forecast/pipeline status to ensure they have capacity to handle volumes, particularly where volumes are heavier than usual. Request supplemental assistance or short ship rates as required to prevent aging beyond standard or excessive inventory above allocation/facility capacity

Monitor KPls and be prepared for daily operations calls with Stellantis to identify and discuss key issues. Propose solutions. Develop regular, proactive communication to Stellantis with status updates on systemic problems until resolved

Organize/manage performance and process review meetings with providers as needed, using data provided by the Network Management team

Complete inventory reconciliations at every yard a minimum of once per month. Identity and resolve discrepancies and issues with providers

Where systematic problems are detected, escalate to Rubicon Network Management team to resolve with the providers IT team. Ensure Correct/update VIN records with exceptions using admin apps where possible, and where not possible, advise Rubicon Network Management team

Site Visits – as needed travel to Stellantis sites in order to establish/maintain productive working relationships with service providers as well as to audit processes and to address systemic issues

Maintain and keep your job aid/contact lists current on Confluence. Update at least quarterly or whenever key contacts change

Any other duties as assigned by the Group Operations Manager

About You:

Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on Supply Chain or Logistics or a similar discipline highly desirable

4+ years or relevant work experience in the automotive logistics sector is essential

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel required)

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills

Customer service

Travel required to Stellantis facilities as needed

Root cause analysis

Experience with Tableau, or similar data visualization an asset

Prior utilization of Business Intelligence tools

Strong time management skills and ability to properly prioritize and manage multiple tasks

Proven experience with issue escalation

Excellent independent judgement and decision-making skills

Fluent in English, both written and verbal

Legally authorized to work in the US
