Design Engineer

Position Title: Design Engineer Location: Columbus, OH Job Description: The design engineer position will be responsible for computer-based robotics application design and development.

Design engineer will be involved in installation and configuration, customization of application and functional testing of 3-D printing applications.

Some of the duties but not limiting to are detailed below: Responsibilities: Participate in process flow analysis and design with end clients.

Analyze and test existing products to identify areas for improvement.

Develop designs to meet cost, quality, and manufacturing schedule.

Expand principles of tool design and related technologies to mechanical systems design to improve functionality and manufacturability.

Develop and build prototypes and test functionality, iterations, and analytics.

Perform computer simulations and develop virtual experiment environment.

Influence working relationships within cross-functional teams.

Assess design for product safety.

Support programming staff in preparing detailed machine program from the diagrams and flow charts prepared by the systems staff.

Analyze latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.

Requirements: Bachelors degree in engineering or business is required.

Exposure to Solid Works or AutoCAD is a plus.
