Project Manager of Solar will strengthen Garber as a frontrunner in the electrical/solar industry by supporting our field employees and accommodating our customers' requests to maintain productive and profitable job sites. As Project Manager of Solar, it is your responsibility to manage all assigned projects and supervision of designated solar employee's.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Manage designated solar techs along with day-to-day workload

• Assist in overall performance, accuracy in project installation & completion along with project accountability

• Review ongoing projects and workload schedules with project managers, sales associates, and dispatcher

Duties/Responsibilities

• Review new projects with sales associates and customers

• Project coordination such as acquiring plans, permits, purchasing of materials, electrical distribution and lighting packages if applicable, scheduling with local electrical providers and inspection agencies, reserving electrical tools/equipment to be used on projects

• Document and enforce Garber Electric company policies

• Project coordination throughout all projects with customer and service team members

• Ability to track project costs, approve invoices promptly, create change orders for projects, and fully execute

• Project closeout documents, final inspections, punch lists, warranty letters, as-built drawings, and project turnover to customers

• Follow up on all warranty items associated to a given project

• Project Managing may require working on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift and overseeing these projects as needed

• Manage and maintain PV agreements and system monitoring for customers

• Create and develop detailed reports for completed and existing PV systems

• Utility interconnection agreements

• Any other duties that might be assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Extensive knowledge of NEC codes

• Continued education for NEC code changes

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient with interpreting plan & spec project documents

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience

• Five years of related field experience required

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

• Must be able to use or access step ladders, manlifts, stairs, and prolonged periods of standing and walking projects

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
