Responsibilities
Work a large inventory of consumer apartment lease debts
Achieve aggressive revenue goals
Make or take not less than 200 calls a day
Pursue declined payments effectively and vigorously
Probe parties named on applications for location information
Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans
Handle questions or complaints
Identify accounts which require reinvestigation
Update account status on a sophisticated consumer management software system
Adhere to a strict schedule with a minimum of alteration
Function as a member of a team
Skills
Proven experience as Debt Collector preferred
Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
Ability to embrace change
Basic computer and phone skills
Excellent communication skills
Apt in negotiating and persuading
Ability to be polite and compassionate without lacking confidence
High school diploma is preferred
Compliance with all state and federal laws, doctrines, and regulations governing debt collection
Requirements
Able to pass a background check
Dependable transportation: we are not directly accessible by MARTA
Available to work 40 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
Rapid learning curve with ability to handle intensive training requirements
Spanish Speaking a plus
