Job Description:

Zscaler’s Procurement team is in search of a seasoned Contracts Negotiator with a deep understanding of contractual risk mitigation. This individual must be able to negotiate across categories, and be skilled at reviewing and redlining contracts. The ideal candidate will develop cross functional relationships and be able to understand and manage the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Review and negotiation of legal and transactional documents including but not limited to MSAs, Consulting Agreements, SaaS Agreements, Lease Agreements, and Order Forms

Define, maintain, and execute Procurement contracting strategies

Identify risks and roadblocks to contract execution and drive action to resolve and/or escalate, as appropriate

Ensure adherence to policy, educate stakeholders and suppliers on policy compliance, and manage the remediation and resolution of contracts issues

Identify opportunities to adapt policy as needed to mitigate risk and better enable suppliers to meet business requirements.

Communicate delays to Procurement stakeholders, and propose and execute contingency measure.

Ability to modify existing templates to support various business activities

Proactive partnerships with internal clients to improve the contract drafting and negotiation processes

Maintain excellent working relationships

Review and edit vendor templates as appropriate to ensure all contractual obligations are met, and highlight areas of potential concern

Provide legal support to internal stakeholders on various initiatives and projects

Investigate and address contractual issues

Ability to effectively present and communicate information to relevant parties

Assess contract risk

Identify need for and develop improvements to contracting programs, policies, and processes

Exercise discretion and independent judgment in matters of significance

Build and maintain cross-functional relationships

Partner with key business stakeholders

Perform contract interpretation

Minimum Qualifications:

Law degree

Industry experience is preferred

Contract review experience is preferred

Prior experience working with multinational organizations

Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines

Highly organized, process driven, client focused team player

Fluency in English - spoken and written

Attention to details

Excellent interpersonal skills

Understanding best practices

Possess the ability to set expectations

Understand legal requirements and company goals

Preferred Qualifications:

Law degree

Candidates with in-house experience

Experience with reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various contractual categories of spend

Reporting, research, legal administration, and analytical skills

Prior experience working with large multinational customers and partners

8+ years of experience

Familiarity with Microsoft and Google Suite

Detail oriented

Able to communicate, influence and operate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Able to formulate negotiation strategies, carry out negotiations and problem solve
