Two Street Maintenance Workers

Job Description

The City of Pekin is currently accepting applications for two full time Street Maintenance Workers in the Street Department of Public Works.

Street Maintenance Workers help with road repairs as well as storm water and sanitary sewer transmission lines throughout the City of Pekin. Normal working hours are Monday - Friday 6:30AM - 3:00PM with additional hours on overtime for emergency repairs and in the winter for snow plowing. CDL preferred at the time of hire but may obtain within the first 90 days of employment. The City of Pekin prefers previous work in the construction field, specifically, concrete finishers/masons, laborer, or operators.

The City of Pekin is a drug-free workplace (including marijuana). Pre-employment physical and drug test required, with random drug testing for all CDL holders.
