Natural Organics Inc - NaturesPlus is currently looking for a Desktop Support person to join our team. The Desktop Support's primary responsibilities is to provide technical assistance and support to our internal, remote and branch office users; ensuring smooth operation of their desktop and laptop systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Active Directory administration, Windows operating systems, printing technologies, documentation practices, and excellent communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, or in person

Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software components, including operating systems, applications, and peripherals

Manage user accounts, security groups, and access permissions in Active Directory

Perform system imaging and deployment using imaging tools

Document support activities, solutions, and procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference

Collaborate with IT teams to resolve escalated technical issues and implement solutions

Conduct user training sessions on desktop systems, applications, and security best practices

Monitor and maintain inventory of desktop equipment and software licenses

Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures

Communicate effectively with end-users and stakeholders to provide updates on support tickets and project statuses

Qualifications:

Experience with Helpdesk ticket tracking software and remote desktop support tools

Configure, install, upgrade, maintain and troubleshoot supported hardware and software including VPN connections, PC's, printers, handheld Android scanners, desk phones and cell phones

Strong knowledge of Active Directory administration, including user management, group policy, and security permissions

Experience with system imaging and deployment tools, such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) or similar solutions

Knowledge of networking protocols and basic networking concepts

Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions

Proven work experience as a Help Desk Analyst or IT Support Technician

Strong problem-solving, analysis and time management skills and high level of organization and detail-orientation

Demonstrate ability to multitask and prioritize with strong time management skills

Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative

Superior oral and written communication skills

Experience with SAP, Macintosh OS, iPads and scan guns a plus!

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferred with at least 4 years of Corporate Help Desk, Desktop Support experience, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in similar role

Proficiency in supporting Windows desktop operating systems (Windows 7, 10, 11) and Microsoft Office365 applications

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and relocate IT equipment as necessary

May be required to run network cables as needed

Ability to commute to office locations in Melville and Amityville (required)
