The Prep Cook / Commissary Associate II will directly contribute to the overall success of TooJay's food service operation by preparing scratch made items for each of our restaurants throughout Florida and our virtual brands. To provide friendly, courteous, and efficient service while performing all duties. To perform these duties in such a manner as to create a clean, safe working environment according to Covid - 19 regulations and standards for yourself, co-workers and ultimately TooJay's guests.

The following responsibilities can and will change depending on the day's priorities. Your day may consist of one or all the following:

• Follow recipes, prep specifications and quality standards on all food production tasks

• Prepare, wash, peel and/or cut various food items to be cooked

• Utilize knives and perform food prep in a safe and efficient manner

• Assisting with dishwashing and cleaning equipment as needed

• Maintain high standards of personal grooming, including wearing proper uniform and any face masks or gloves/if required and as regulated

• Always comply to TooJay's standards and regulations for safety and adhere to Health department regulations

• Always maintain a friendly and warm demeanor

• Perform all end of shift functions

• Be familiar with location of fire extinguishers and how to access them

• Minimize duties as requested by management

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

• Knowledge of basic kitchen and food service operations

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and serve high volume/quality in a fast-paced environment

• Great attitude, willingness to learn, team player and punctuality is key

• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly

• Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure

• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns or issues raised by co-workers and/or manager

• Must be able to understand and adhere to company policies and procedures

Physical Requirements:

• Must wash hands every 30 minutes during and throughout shifts

• Must be willing to work with cleaning and or sanitizing equipment and solutions

• Medium work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects

• Ability to stand during entire shift
