Director of Finance

Newly created position, reporting to the Business Unit President ($100m currently forecasting 1.5x growth over next 5 years; owned by +$2b publicly traded corporation with diversified portfolio), the Director of Finance will be the most senior level resource, serving as the Financial Business Partner across all areas of company.

Responsibilities include:

Oversees the business unit consolidation and financial reporting process, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements

Serves as a business partner to the President and helps to define and execute the Business Unit’s strategy

Performs administrative functions within multiple systems including General Ledger reporting hierarchy maintenance and system access, roles, and responsibilities configuration

Oversees accounting processes

Participates in the integration of acquisitions, focused on both internal and external reporting needs

Serves as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors

Performs ad hoc financial analysis for the Business Unit President

Implement new tools, such as Power BI to drive more robust forecasts/business plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required, CPA preferred

5+ years' of supervisory skills

Strong technical accounting and accounting systems knowledge

SEC public reporting experience in a large, publicly traded organization preferred
