SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

The job:

Frontwave Arena is seeking a Sales Account Executive for our 7,500 capacity indoor entertainment and sports arena responsible for selling season tickets, partial plans, and group tickets for both the San Diego Clippers, the Official G League Affiliate of the LA Clippers, and the San Diego Sockers through cold-calling, face-to-face appointments, arena tours and networking with a focus on business-to-business relationships. You will be responsible for maintaining a professional attitude and capitalizing on opportunities to increase ticket revenue. It is your job to demonstrate the value associated with San Diego Clippers and San Diego Sockers season tickets to prospects throughout the North County and San Diego area. This position reports to the Manager of Ticket Sales.

What you will do:

• Drive the sale of new season ticket accounts, including partial ticket packages and group tickets for both the San Diego Clippers and the San Diego Sockers.

• Acquire new business and maximize sales by setting up face-to-face appointments, completing issued metrics per week, developing, and executing sales events, etc.

• Accountable for consistently achieving or exceeding certain levels of “hustle metrics” (calls, talk time, referrals, appointments, etc.).

• Prospect, establish, research and close sales leads through cold-calling, appointments, and networking.

• Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals.

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service.

• Possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as the competitive desire to be the best.

• Participate in various sales, team, and community events as assigned.

• Utilize CRM to maintain accurate records in support of sales efforts and pipeline management as defined by the organization.

• Attend home games to service current accounts and sell new ticket prospects.

• Other tasks and duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum 1-2 years of sales experience in professional or collegiate sports (or related industry) is preferred.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

• Bilingual skills a plus.

• Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously while remaining organized, efficient, and calm under pressure.

• Experience in creating and executing strategic business plans.

• Proficient with CRM applications (Salesforce preferably), and familiar with ticketing systems, AXS Ticketing preferably.

• Night and weekend work may be required, including working at non-arena events and/or on holidays.

Compensation Range: Base compensation of $20 per hour plus 2024 commission plan based on approved structure.
