Construction Estimator

Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required in the building construction industry.

- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services

- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes

- Utilize industry-specific software to create detailed cost breakdowns.

- Negotiate with vendors to obtain the best pricing for materials and services.

- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and implement cost control measures as needed

- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation

Requirements:

- Experience in construction estimating or related field

- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques

- Proficiency in using industry-specific software.

- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders

- Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other technical documents

- Familiarity with contract documents and understanding of legal requirements in construction projects
