We are looking for a Full-Time Food Runner with prior fine dining experience. Our ideal candidate would have experience working in a fast paced, fine dining restaurant. Candidate must have a passion for food and wine and the desire to create an amazing dining experience for our guests.
Cavallo Point's acclaimed restaurant, Murray Circle, is one of the Bay Area's top culinary destinations. Highlighting refined modern Northern California cuisine anchored to its Marin roots, the freshest local ingredients and stunning Golden Gate Bridge views, a meal here is inspired.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Handle all kitchen requests in a professional and courteous manner.
Complete knowledge of the dining room menu
Familiar with kitchen coursing techniques
Ability to set up mail line as it pertains to Executive Chefs specifications
Ability to independently problem solve issues that arise in the kitchen
Works with line staff and kitchen to deliver an exceptional dining experience
Sincere and warm interaction with all guests and consistent eye contact
Perform side work duties
Communicate with Chef, Managers and Servers to better serve the guests needs and their requests
Know menu and be able to answer guest questions about the food and the hotel
Perform side work in a timely and accurate manner
Sincere and warm interaction with all guests including consistent eye contact with a smile
Follow and deliver 5 Star services’ standards, delighting guests by anticipating their needs
ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS:
Set up of mail line in preparation for meal service
Proper breakdown of kitchen line at service end
Adhere to side work requirements as set forth by restaurant managers
Uniform cleanliness and proper attire at all times without exception
Maintain and follow high safety standards and personal conduct
Follow Company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Handbook
Comply with the attendance policy and specially meal breaks and rest breaks, reporting any discrepancies to management

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
3 years of fine dining experience as a Food Runner or Server Assistant
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to speak Spanish is preferable
Proficient conversational and written English
Able to stand and walk, and moving for long periods of time
Ability to lift 45 pounds or more
Must have valid Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of hire

Rate of Pay: $18.55 per hour plus gratuities
