Client Title: Quality Specialist Band

PAY: 28.92-39.77 Per Hour DOE

1st Shift: 40 hours per week

Shift: B SHIFT POSITION HOURS 7PM-7AM, 4x10 hour shifts rotating with the team, for example TWRF for 3 weeks, SMRF 1 week. Your schedule can be any time between 7 PM to 7 AM. The manager assigns the shift after training.

Contract: Long-term contract role – ongoing

PTO, Sick Pay, and Holidays are offered

This person would be responsible for containment of supplier defects in the plant, responding to the defect alerts in systems.

Respond to calls from production and quality about parts with supplier-generated defects.

This person would need to know what to accept or not accept as a supplier issue.

Person will be responsible for setting up quality alerts through Trigo or contacting supplier representative in the plant.

They would do “triage” until the technical specialist could get involved.

They will be out on the line very often communicating with production associates and also communicating to supplier representatives.

They will be doing a lot of independent work and not a lot of presenting in meetings.

They will maintain the handover log to A shift.

Top 3 skills: Supplier management/quality experience, Control of non-conforming material (what to do with a bad part), Excellent interpersonal skills (dealing with conflicts, stress)

Nice to have: Statistical process control, other problem-solving methodologies

This candidate must possess a background in quality, experience utilizing problem solving tools: 8D (Root cause and corrective action) and statistics tool box experience (CPK).

Responsible for containment of supplier defects in the plant, responding to the defect alerts in systems. In addition, the QSB works in conjunction with the Quality Specialist Product Department to be a liaison between suppliers and various departments.

Ensures robust containment for all supplier non-conforming material found by internal sensors such as QZ Audit, Water Test, QI, Road Test, and Section Audit.

Adheres to timely disposition of material from RED tables within agreed limits for supplier related non-conforming material.

Manages QA creation / approval and closure for all supplier non-conforming material issues in SAP.

Raises complaint reports to include allocation of appropriate PPM / Costs / 8D’s.

Provides front desk support for all deviation / line trial activity.

Manages LV for all RK 0 – IDF/QMD.

Supports QSP LV for all RK1 / RK2 PQM issues with containment information.

Ensures inventory control of responsible locations

Supports Scale 2 Working Structure (Zone/Band Support)

Conducts training to production employees based on company standards.

Monitors PCSQ (Production data / dashboard) and supports the handshake process to include the One Line Parts List allocation.

Ensures utilization of internal support functions to aid with Level 0 analysis, such as Metrology, Laboratory and Total Vehicle Analysis (CAMS).

Performs other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor.

Job Requirements

Associate degree in Engineering or related field and / or 2 years professional experience in process quality or quality systems.

2+ year’s professional experience in process quality or quality systems.

1-3 years’ experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

Previous manufacturing experience with specific area related (external, internal, power train) parts at supplier preferred.

Certified Quality Technician preferred

Working knowledge of NCM process and material management.

Plant operations experience required.

Knowledge of QSP quality processes and responsibilities.
