We are looking for a Director of Marketing who will oversee the development and execution of Coastal Source’s marketing strategy and initiatives, including brand architecture, omni-channel media campaigns (social media, advertising, email, digital and collateral), new product launches, events and trainings, POS and dealer experience, content creation, and PR. This leader will design and create integrated communication strategies, campaigns, and programs to fulfill brand and sales objectives ensuring that we consistently articulate our brand positioning and messaging across all platforms. Reporting to the President, the Director of Marketing will act as a hands-on marketing team member, doing the work with the team as well as serving as a key member of the Coastal Source leadership team in our next phase of growth.

About You

You are equal parts creative and organized, thriving off collaboration within a small team. You have excellent communication skills and are a creative writer with an eye for great emails, marketing campaigns and web pages. You are a natural problem solver who learns from past experiences- both good and bad. You would love to be part of a small marketing team to develop and implement unified marketing strategies across company marketing efforts. You excel at time management and quarterbacking projects from beginning to end, filling in the gaps where information may be lacking. You love to develop strategies and find ways to measure their success. You love using digital collaboration tools to keep the whole team in sync.

Key Qualifications

degree in Marketing, Communications or related field; advanced degree preferred.

years’ experience in progressive roles within marketing, advertising, and/or promotions.

Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

and implement a three-year Marketing Strategy that supports the three-year business growth plan and strategic initiatives. Establish and execute one-year marketing plans to achieve three-year strategic goals.

Branding & Content

the Coastal Source brand. Strengthen brand communication – quality and consistency.

a Brand Guide to consistently execute content and creative work.

Omni-Channel Campaigns

communication campaigns that work effectively and efficiently across all channels (social media, advertising, email, PR, digital and collateral) and support the marketing plan, key accounts, dealer sales growth, and new dealer on-boarding goals.

Coastal Source’s B2C marketing efforts, including social media, PR, and digital content to optimize brand awareness and positioning for our luxury consumer target audience.

Channel Marketing

effective materials to engage, educate, and inform Dealers, Sales Reps, Specifiers, and Distributors. Create and execute training materials, POS, awards, events, and promotions.

new product launch campaigns to meet sales goals and optimize awareness and adoption.

Public Relations

Coastal Source’s brand awareness (media impressions and tone of voice) through impactful press/public relations.

Coastal Source as a Thought Leader in Outdoor Experience – Audio and Lighting.

Team Leadership

lead, and inspire a high-performing marketing team (~3 staff & agencies) including graphic design, video production, copy and content creators, PR, and event planning.

the marketing budget; leverage financial rigor to prioritize and allocate resources effectively.

a marketing dashboard to measure brand health and marketing metrics. Report on KPIs monthly and implement continuous improvement from lessons learned.

Travel

Occasional business travel (~10%) to industry events, dealer meetings, and training sessions required.
