Information Technology Support Technician

Penske Automotive Group is a Fortune 200 international transportation services company that operates automotive and commercial truck dealerships principally in the United States and Western Europe, and distributes commercial vehicles, diesel engines, gas engines, power systems and related parts and services principally in Australia and New Zealand. We have created a best-in-class IT environment to support our business needs. We are currently seeking to add a talented member to our corporate IT team.

Overall responsibility is to facilitate the resolution of technical issues within dealerships and corporate headquarters. Dealership support is provided over the phone in a call center style environment while corporate headquarters support is face-to-face. This role will be located at our corporate headquarters office in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and is not a remote opportunity.

Specific Duties:

Account provisioning for various productivity cloud applications and Dealer Management Systems

Support enterprise, manufacturer and third-party applications including access

Provide primary technical support via phone and remote software with excellent customer service

Collaborate with other IT staff to resolve issues

Prioritize, escalate and resolve incidents from ticket management system

Deploy and support technology to the enterprise’s executives

Troubleshoot and provision mobile devices

Adhere to all corporate process, policies and assist with technical documentation

Provide weekend, holidays and afterhours support (rotation) including occasional travel

Minimal requirements for consideration of this position include:

Associates Degree in computer sciences or related fields - 4 year college degree preferred

Two years of related technology experience

Willingness to continue to grow through outside and in-house training

Strong experience and knowledge of:

Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems, Office Suite and cloud productivity applications

PC Hardware, Mobile Devices (iOS/Android) and peripherals

Client-side cybersecurity software

of:

Retail Environment or similar

Management Systems (Reynolds/CDK)

Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange

VOIP Systems

Basic WAN/LAN troubleshooting

Personal Skills / Attributes:

Strong interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills

Ability to research requests for a viable solution amenable to all

Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues
