We’re looking for a full-time DevOps Linux software development engineer with software development skills but not necessarily focused on operations to join our team building best-in-class cyber security products. As a member of our growing team, you will help design and develop technology solutions that are scalable, meaningful, and critical to our company’s success. The ideal candidate will have a strong Linux background and driven to pursue a career in enterprise application development. You will be working in an Agile environment, and contributing with your ideas, code, testing, and planning skills.
Location: Remote or Salt Lake City Utah Area - Occasional office meetings.
Responsibilities
Working collaboratively with team members to design, develop, test, and deliver scalable Linux-based server technology solutions
Verifying product features are thoroughly implemented, ensuring all requirements are met, using robust technical solutions and high-quality coding standards
Remaining up to date on current best practices, trends, and industry developments and actively sharing that knowledge with other team members
Required Knowledge and Experience
5+ years of professional experience administering and developing applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Demonstrable coding/scripting experience in Bash
4+ years of professional experience using container technologies in a production environment
3+ years of professional experience using Kubernetes in a production environment
Strong experience with Ansible and familiarity with YAML and JSON
Solid understanding of fundamental networking concepts
Server virtualization experience with systems such as VMware ESXi/vSphere
Experience deploying applications to AWS and/or Azure in a production environment (compute, storage, networking, image creation, etc.)
Nice to Have
Experience with Oracle database installation/administration/backup/storage and PL/SQL scripting
Experience troubleshooting and resolving Oracle database application performance issues in a production environment
Experience with administration and configuration of Prometheus and Grafana.
Experience with CI/CD and configuration management tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory)
Experience writing automated tests
Experience using Git for version control
Knowledgeable in Linux and application security best practices, SELinux, DISA STIG, etc.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Experience with UI frameworks and technologies (HTML, JavaScript, REST APIs, React)
Experience with Python
Qualifications
Ability to obtain US government secret security clearance
BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security or equivalent work experience
Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills
Strong time management skills and able to take initiative and work independently on concurrent
