Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Credit Analyst is to ensure the stability and profitability of our credit portfolio while effectively managing financial credit risks.

Responsibilities:

Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers through the analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and payment histories.

Define and manage risk levels on a daily basis, providing proactive advice to prevent customer credit holds.

Release systemic holds after thorough risk analysis and adherence to credit guidelines.

Validate the opening of new client accounts, setting credit limits and terms based on risk assessment, financial analysis, and credit policies.

Monitor customer accounts regularly to identify potential credit risks and address delinquencies.

Develop and implement strategies to mitigate credit risks and reduce bad debt losses.

Collaborate with sales and finance teams to address credit-related issues in alignment with business objectives.

Conduct regular credit reviews and recommend adjustments to credit terms as needed.

Investigate and resolve customer disputes and payment discrepancies promptly.

Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in credit and risk management.

Prepare management reports and presentations on credit and risk performance.

Contribute to the development of credit policies and procedures to enhance overall credit management effectiveness.

Manage and update tax-exempt certificates from customers to minimize exposure.

Analyze and assist in resolving litigious cases, including direct negotiations with clients.

Keep abreast of regulatory changes and market trends.

Perform analysis, reporting, and management of other insured products such as liability insurance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or financial analysis, preferably from a product company.

Knowledge of credit assessment techniques, financial statement analysis, and risk evaluation.

A solid understanding of credit relationships and contracts.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative work across teams.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
