ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Operations to oversee our operational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, with a focus on trading and clearing processes. The Manager, Operations will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our trading and clearing activities, managing a team of operations staff, and implementing best practices to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Duties/Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. Identify and addressing any issues or discrepancies.

Manage a team of operations staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Provide exceptional customer service to Apex clients who submit questions and requests.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.

Collaborate with other departments, such as compliance, risk management, and technology, to ensure smooth operations.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, business, law).

5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the financial services industry.

FINRA Securities Industries Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 24 licenses (or willingness to obtain)

Required Skills/Abilities

Strong understanding of trading and clearing processes.

Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to trading and clearing firms (e.g., SEC, CFTC, FINRA).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Other Preferred Qualifications

Experience with trading and clearing systems.

Work Environment
