Position Summary:
Pentair is currently seeking Change Manager/Release Manager for IoT projects in the Smart Products & IoT Strategic Innovation Centre in India team. This role is responsible for planning & managing end-to-end
Change/Release Lifecycle for IoT projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Managing, planning, and negotiating change and release activities till Production starting from lower environments
Planning release windows and cycles across multiple tracks of large programs
Coordinating processes between different teams (spread across the globe)
Communicating crucial release plans & changes to business teams and all other stakeholders
Knowledge of code promotion workflow where promotion/rollback of code should be integrated with any tool like Jira.
Leading release activities in SAFe (Agile) and close co-ordination with multiple Scrum teams
Maintaining and publishing release schedules for every product and ensuring it aligns with committed business milestones.
In addition to scheduled releases, coordinating release content and efforts w.r.t. platform and third-party apps
Conducting release readiness and milestone reviews
Leading and coordinating checklist and deployment plan execution
Managing risks and resolving challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules
Working with DevOps & Architects to comprehend code merges and branch ramifications
AWS Devops tool: - ECR, ECS, Code commit, code build, code deploy, code pipeline, code star, cloud 9 etc.
Experience with build and deployment for Nodejs, reactjs, react native, GO, typescript and python code based.
Experience in deploying Android and iOS application CI/CD platforms like Bitrise.
Measuring and monitoring progress to achieve timely software releases within defined quality standards
Ensuring that releases are planned & executed as per business expectations & adhering to set processes
Ensuring that requirements are clear across dependent project streams with a release
Initiating and overseeing the development of technical guides and training for external functionality
Validating release notes for lower environments & prepare the final PROD Release notes
Organize and coordinate CCB/CAB meetings for releases
Create Key metrics and identify opportunities to make tactical improvements to the release management process
Create and circulate the Release Closure Report
Collect Release feedback from stakeholders for continuous improvements
Qualifications and Experience:
Mandatory
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related Engineering discipline or MCA
6+ years of experience in Release & Change Management
3+ Yrs. of experience in AWS and IoT applications
Understanding of AWS platform and deployment
Having good experience in AWS DevOps tools and services.
Experience in agile development and stage gate process.
Basic understanding of IoT products
Tools – Jira, Confluence, MS Office
Preferred
SAFe Certified
