Role: Product Manager / Sr. Product Manager

About the Job:

We empower our product teams to solve hard problems – customer problems and business problems – in ways that our customers love yet work for our business. Our product teams are cross-functional and durable, generally comprised of a product manager, a technical lead and/or designer, and several engineers.

The Product Manager is the absolute owner and champion of the product and will be responsible for key strategic and tactical decisions that affect the roadmap, and the success of the product – commercially, technically, and operationally. The Product Manager will lead a cross-functional team and bring to market effective solutions that are valuable, viable, usable, and feasible. While the product designer is accountable for ensuring the solution is usable, and the engineers are accountable for ensuring the solution is feasible, the Product Manager is accountable for ensuring the solution is both valuable and viable. They must enjoy working with customers and contribute to the product team a deep knowledge of our users and customers, and the data about how our customers engage with our products. The Product Manager will proactively engage with our customers, partners, and relevant industry bodies (such as the GSM Association, its working groups, and the like), and track industry trends and the competitive landscape as they pertain to their product.

While we empower our product teams to figure out the best solutions to the problems that need to be solved, we also hold those teams accountable for the results. Shipping is necessary, but not sufficient. We are looking for product managers that are not afraid of signing up for results, even when this means they must work through others to achieve the necessary results.

Key responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and own the strategy for the product(s) assigned to them.

Own the revenue target for the product – and design and execute plans to achieve the target.

Track industry trends and discover requirements through interactions with our customers as well as our field sales/presales, services, and support teams.

Own and drive the product roadmap, prioritize requirements and features, and ensure delivery of product releases in line with commitments.

Develop and drive go-to-market and demand generation strategies and plans with marketing and sales, including development of product collateral, enablement, and training material.

Participate in and contribute proactively to customer engagements, participate as needed in trade events and interact with industry bodies and organizations as required.

Monitor the product’s performance in the markets based on feedback from customers, and our field sales and services teams.

Skills and qualifications:

8-12 years of overall experience with 4+ years of experience in product management.

Must be a self-starter and proactive and enjoy taking the initiative.

Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment – working with sales, marketing, engineering, and services teams across the organization.

Highly passionate, responsive and action driven.

Excellent analytical skills, with a passion for working with data from various sources.

Must be steadfast in pursuit of excellence and quality, in every deliverable related to the product.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to communicate clearly and precisely with customers and internal stakeholders (peers, subordinates, managers, and executives).

Must be tenacious and be able to work under pressure.

Should possess graduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science(or a related field) and/or Masters in science or management.

Technical skills:

Comprehensive and hands on experience on product modelling/ product rationalization / product design, preferably in Telecom Industry. Know-how of Threat Intelligence is a plus.

Experience and knowledge of Voice interconnect threats and frauds.

Extensive experience working in call flows for SS7 (SCCP/TCAP/MAP and CAP) / Diameter / GTP / SIP /5G networks (at least2 or 3 protocols) will be preferred.

Candidates with experience on core network products such as MSC, SBC, IMS nodes (S-CSCF, P-CSCF, IM-SSF, MGCF, etc.), Voice Firewall, etc. will be preferred.
