The goal of an automation tester is to eliminate defects, errors and problems with product or software development and with business or customer service processes. Automation is also used to streamline IT help desk ticketing, service management and to deliver quality products and software faster, with fewer defects. Work on the designing, programming, simulation, and testing of new or existing software. Automation Testing, however, is a technique to test software in order to check and compare the output received with the output assumed or expected.

Objective of the position:

The objective of Automation Testing is to lessen the number of test cases which are required to be executed manually and not necessarily to be a replacement for Manual Testing. Adding more automated tests to improve coverage is a primary goal of an automation tester.

Roles and Responsibilities:

-Exploring and implementing new ways to automate systems

-Designing and testing automation equipment and processes

-Programming new automated components

-Identifying quality issues and writing reports

-Eliminating defects and errors with product and software development

-Collaborating with other business units

-Identifying and selecting the automation test cases

-Applying various designs and documenting the automation test strategy

-Creating an automation test plan and getting approval

-Configuring Selenium Test Environment (STE) in order to set it up

-Participating in Selenium Environment Setup with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE)

-Automating the design of a framework

-Implementing it as per the structure of the project

-Creating, enhancing, debugging, and running the test cases

-Collating and monitoring the defect management process

-Managing the changes and executing regression tests

-Coming up with exact solutions for problems related to object identity and error handling

-Interacting with customers/clients to solve the various issues they face and updating on the situation

Mandatory Skills:

-Having Experience in Creation, development and maintenance of Manual & Automation framework from the scratch.

-Must know the Agile development life-cycle

-Having good exposure in Selenium and other API frameworks using Python

-Hands on experience on Data collection (Web Scraping using Selenium & Beautiful Soup)

-Experience in API testing, Mobile testing

-Experience in setting up automated test frameworks

-Good exposure on tools- Git & Jira

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field

2-8 Years of industry experience in all types of Testing (System, Integration& Regression) & Python
