Lead Software Developer

Full Stack Software Development

Design and architect new single-page web applications and develop key system features.

Explore and evaluate new technologies to advance our SaaS platform and grow our business

Lead a team that will execute projects from beginning to end, including working with product management, gathering requirements, brainstorming solutions, building final applications and testing.

Delegate tasks to team members matching their individual experience to the task to promote engagement, learning and probability of success.

Provide practical technical guidance to your product manager partner to increase the odds of overall project success.

Troubleshoot technical issues as they emerge

Escalate technical issues impacting activities outside of your team.

Enforce community best practices and team SDLC guidelines

Work with your QA lead partner to ensure the overall quality of project deliverables.

Mentor more junior developers and encourage senior developers to mentor as well.

Work closely with architects, and other teams to design and implementation cross functional requirements

Lead design and code reviews encouraging participation of your team members

Qualifications

8 to 10 years of software development / engineering experience

MS/BS in Software Engineering or related discipline

Technical skills

Experience with Full Stack Software Development

Experience in Back End programming in Java, Groovy

Experience with microservice development is a plus

Experience in User Interface programming with Javascript frameworks like Angular or Ember

Experience in web application development

Understanding of relational databases such as MS SQL Server

Experience with non-relational databases like MongoDB is a plus

Familiarity with Agile process

Passion for learning new technologies

Experience with IaaS & PaaS from a cloud vendor is a plus. Azure preferred.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
