Our Teachers offer 1:1 lessons in Piano, Violin, Guitar, Ukulele & Music Theory Classes/Group Theory. We provide students with regular concert and public performance opportunities.

We are looking for another 1-2 experienced AMEB VIOLIN TEACHERS to join the VIVO Team starting 2025 TERM 1 onwards (i.e. from Weds 29th January onwards).
There are 2X teaching days on offer:
Wednesdays 3:30-8:45pm~
Start Wednesday 29th January
Fridays 3:20-8:50pm~
Start Friday 31st January
Mostly early beginner to AMEB G4 students who wish to pursue AMEB Exams when ready. Mostly 30/45min lessons back/to-back. Welcoming Uni students/graduates to apply!

EXTRA PAYMENT PERKS:
VIVO pays all teachers for ALL student absences. If your student is absent, you do not need to worry about receiving no income. VIVO values every teachers’ time and commitment to their work.
We centre on a “No Remake Class Policy”. Teachers are not required to do Remake Classes.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Minimum 2-year teaching commitment at VIVO.
Hold an Accredited Tertiary Music Qualification/s or Minimum (AMEB) Grade 7 or in any other equivalent examination board.
Hold a valid WWC, be an Australian Citizen/PR, have a registered ABN (as you will be teaching as an independent contractor at our studios), or willing to apply.
Be confident to work independently, organised, punctual & love teaching young children.
Excellent time management skills - to teach 1-1, back-to-back instrumental classes. Have further opportunities to teach VIVO’S Annual Group Theory Classes.
Create individual lesson plans, and record weekly homework notes for each student.
Experience teaching a range of Beginner Method Books (e.g. Essential Elements for Strings, Abracadabra, Suzuki Violin Books)
Teaching experience in AMEB Exams up to Grade 6+ . Familiar with teaching AMEB Comprehensive and Repertoire Exam Syllabuses. Or willing to learn.
Familiarity teaching all other AMEB Practical Exam Components: General Knowledge, Sight-reading and Aural Tests Preparations.
Above all, have a cooperative team spirit & willingness to receive ongoing feedback. Be joyful, patient, honest and always kind.
Bonus Consideration: If you can also speak Cantonese/Mandarin, kindly highlight in your resume.
